Coming Home To Glendale Hall

This post is late, again. I don’t know why Rachel puts up with me, I even emailed her earlier in the week because I couldn’t remember what date I was to post on. Since going back to work this month and Mila teething I’m that tired you are lucky if I know what day it is, I’m pretty sure I only make it to work because my alarm goes off so I know it’s a work day.

More apologies to everyone on the tour.

Coming Home to Glendale HallBLURB

No matter how far you go, home is where the heart is…

Beth Williams hasn’t been home for ten years. After falling pregnant at sixteen, she ran away from the imposing Scottish estate where she grew up rather than risk her family’s disapproval, working hard to build a life for herself and daughter Isabelle – but now she’s finally returning to Glendale Hall.

As Beth tries to mend her broken family ties, and fights to bring the community of Glendale back together, she realises that the story she has told herself for a decade might well be a very different one from the truth. Even though she ran from Glendale it has never left her heart. And, she soon realises, neither has Drew – Beth’s first love.

Will Beth be able to forgive her mother and grandmother (and herself) for what happened ten years ago? What will Drew say when he discovers the secret she’s been keeping from him for so long? Can a festive trail bring the village back together?

Will Christmas work its magic on Glendale – or will Beth be forced to run away from it all over again?

A charming, uplifting novel that will warm your heart – the perfect read to curl up with this autumn. Fans of Trisha Ashley, Debbie Johnson and Cathy Bramley will love this gorgeously romantic read.

Glendale Hall_finalCOVER

My favourite style of covers, and who doesn’t love a Christmas cover. Snow just makes me smile. This cover would totally have me picking this book up off the shelf.

I love Christmas films, books, not so much the songs but I do love being curled up in the warmth while it’s all christmasy outside. I have currently been re watching Gilmore Girls and this book actually gives me all the Gilmore feels, the base line is so similar and I love it. This book has totally got me into the Christmas spirt (although the sleep spirt is very much needed now).

This book couldn’t be set in a more perfect place. Scotland in the snow and it’s written perfectly, you can totally imagine yourself there, sitting all cosy looking out the window. Glendale Hall, just sounds amazing and somewhere I would totally love to go myself.

You can’t help but feel love for Beth, she has been through it and come out the other side, It’s great to see single mums being praised. The whole of the family makes this book though, we have all had our share of family drama and this family is no different.

This is a great story, with some ups and downs but follows a bunch over loveable characters.
