Beauty Advent Calendars

I know for the past 3 months bloggers and vloggers everywhere have been showing off all the latest beauty advent calendars and as much as I would have loved to have joined in, 1. I can’t really afford to buy more than one (thanks to my nan who actually bought me the M&S one this year) and 2. I really wanted some sort of advent in my blogmas posts.

IMG_0943So I managed to get my hands on the sought after Marks & Spencer advent calendar and the NYX Cosmetics Sugar Trip calendar and although I am going to keep the products for December and open each day in turn I do know what is in both of the calendars, I have watched countless you tubers unbox them.

img_0944.pngThe M&S calendar is called ‘The Book Of Beauty” and opens up like a book, inside it is filled with 25 different sized boxes of various colours. I love the look of this calendar, plus I think it’s so much nicer to have the individual boxes rather than the corrugated doors which almost certainly rip when I try and open them.

I won’t say what you get on which days just incase you want some sort of little surprise but the advent calendar contains all of these products, turn back now if you don’t want to know what you get in this calendar.

I can’t wait to get stuck into all of these. I love NUXE, Pixi and REN, I have tried some of their products before so super excited to try these ones out. I already have some of the balanceme eye cream and I really like that so it’s great to have another one. There are also a lot of brands here that I haven’t tried before so it’ll be nice to see what their products are like.

img_0945.pngAs for the NYX Cosmetics Sugar Trip you open it up and all the doors are corrugated but fairly easy to open, I just hope I don’t rip them too much. I love the look of this calendar, It’s very colourful and has a fun design. I love NYX products and although they are a drugstore brand I find that some of their items are a little on the pricier side just to try so seeing as I don’t wear make up all that often I think this is a great way to try out some of their different formulas.

With this calendar you get 24 days, so no Christmas Day treat but you do get a mixture of lip products, highlighters, eyeshadows and blush. In this calendar you get all of these items:

I can’t wait to get stuck into both of these calendars (along with my milky bar chocolate one), this is actually my first year having a beauty advent calendar so as you can imagine I’m pretty excited. I think they are really good ideas especially if you are wanting to try more of a brand but don’t really know where to start.

I’d love to know if you have tried any of these products before and what you thought of them.
