Where Have I Been?

I haven’t actually been anywhere, mostly at home with a very needy baby. There are so many posts I want to write up but when I actually sit down to write something I don’t know where to start and then it’s like Mila realises I’m busy and she then wants attention.

So, I’m hoping over the next few days Rhys will be a bit more hands on with Mila so I can actually have some time to myself because since she’s arrived it’s like I’m not a person anymore, I’m just Mila’s mummy and that’s it. I’d love to get back to blogging more often and having time to read more, designing and doodling more, just more of what I used to love doing.

I don’t really know where I’m going with this post but I haven’t really written much in the past couple of months, there has been a lot going on so I just wanted to let you know (if anyone reads anymore) that I haven’t disappeared and I really do intend to get stuck in and get some posts written up.

I want to write more baby posts.

I want to write more about my skincare products and routines.

I’d love to have time to get back into wearing and writing about make up, you’re lucky if I manage to brush my hair these days – although I have just had it all chopped off so I’m going to need to do more with it now.

Overall I just need to get that motivation back to sit and roll out the posts. I just wanted to give you guys an update, it’s been over a month since I posted but there will be new things coming soon.

*Hollow – by Olga Gibbs Review

First off, I know this post is a day late and I want to say thank you to Olga and Melanie for being so great about this being late. They are both such lovely people to know.

Next, let’s address the lack of posts recently. It’s not been a good few weeks for me and everything that’s blog related has unfortunately had to take a back seat. Also the reason that this post hasn’t gone up earlier today, hopefully once the dust has settled i’ll be able to get back into the swing of things, because currently I am running on fumes and really need to recharge my batteries.

Hallow BannerToday I have for you a review of Olga Gibbs new book – Hallow.

My First Mother’s Day

I’m not sure where to start with this post, I think I was actually expecting more than what it was. I was expecting to feel special and the most important person that day, but that was far from what I was feeling. That’s not to say I didn’t have a nice day, I guess I was just a little disappointed.

blog titleRhys got up with Mila so I could have a lie in, and even brought me a cup of tea in bed – so what’s the problem I hear you say, well I had my card in bed and then presents as soon as I got downstairs. What he bought me was lovely and he didn’t need to but I had a lovely keyring, a first mothers day vest for Mila (which is massive on her) and a bread maker.

World Down Syndrome Day: My Story

This post has been a blank page on my laptop for quite a while now, I have thought about writing this post many times, even what would I write in this post or what wouldn’t I write. Every time I think about sitting down and writing this up I can’t help but come to tears, it’s a very emotional subject for me to talk about. There is so much you don’t know about Down syndrome, heck there is still so much that I myself don’t know. I’m not here to tell you everything you need to know, I’m only 4 months in and I’m just taking it day by day. I have figured that I don’t really know enough to be educating anyone on Down syndrome so I’m just going to document my story and my feelings.

blog titleSo keep reading if you’re at all interested in reading about my story.
